Growing Food. Building Resilience. Strengthening Communities.
Practical Education | Sustainable Agriculture | Community Preparedness
Maryland Ministry of Agriculture, Inc. (MD MOA) strengthens food security, household self-reliance, and community resilience through agricultural education, practical preparedness training, and community partnerships.
We bring hands-on education to individuals, families, congregations, businesses, and community institutions throughout Maryland.
From growing food and preserving resources to developing household emergency plans and strengthening neighborhood preparedness, MD MOA equips communities with the knowledge and practical skills needed to become more capable, prepared, and self-reliant.
PUTTING AGRICULTURE INTO PRACTICE
MD MOA helps people move from interest and information to practical agricultural capability.
Through hands-on education, household and community food production, sustainable growing practices, PlotPro installations, youth engagement, food preservation, and preparedness initiatives, we help individuals and organizations develop skills they can use where they live.
Whether someone is beginning with a backyard, a raised bed, a school, a faith community, or a larger community space, our programs are designed to help turn available resources into productive capacity, greater food security, and long-term self-reliance.
